I was looking to upgrade my less than steller 2-point stock Fender tremolo on my MIM strat. The machining quality, fit and finish and overall quality is top notch. I use my tremolo/vibrato very often, and getting it dialed in to float the way I like it was a breeze.
Pros:
- improved sustain
- vintage saddles are very well machined and finished
- everything lines up and is a fool-proof drop in
- intonation and saddle height adjustment is a breeze
- love the pop-in/screw in tremolo arm with set screw you dial in that feel.
- nice choice of black/white knobs.
- all hardware included and packaged nicely.
- made in Germany craftsmanship and quality,
Cons:
- a tad on the expensive side, but it is well worth the money
- the springs are a bit on the soft side, so I ended up using 4. But will try putting in the stock fender ones to see how those feel (I use 10-48 GHS strings).
- It's about 1 cm narrower than a stock fender tremolo system, but really that is not a con and the tremolo cavity is not seem if you have bridge decked. It's also not and issue if you use a floating bridge.
