I have now used the ADJ Mega Hex Par together with some ADJ 5P Hex (The predecessor of 5PX HEX), which I have used for some years for semi-professional use.
Conclusion is:
The light output is as expected lower than the 5P HEX but okey for smaller stages and wall wash.
The clean colours (RGBAW UV) are all clean and makes a nice even beam as for the 5P HEX.
Colour mixing is where these fixtures clearly come to short.
As an example, mixing violet by equal amount red and blue, makes a significant difference from centre of the beam to the edges of the beam, whereas bluer in the middle and pinker on the edge. Here the 5P HEX is superior with perfect colour mixing.
