A little flimpsy
Robert269 23.08.2020
I bought this because of the small size and portability to put a portable recording device on to record such things as my choir.

It gets the job done but it is a little flimpsy and definately not what you could call heavy duty. As long as you don't really put it to the test but handle it carefully it will probably hold up for a long time. If you need it to handle some abuse or if you don't need a stand as compact as this one you should look elsewhere. There are sturdier stands for less money.

On it's own it isn't all that high, but if you get the boom as well you get somewhat better reach.

So, all in all, it's quite nice but be aware that it isn't exactly built as a tank

Perfect Travel Companion
Matt R 05.10.2018
This is my back up mic stand but is the one I took with me when I did a train tour of Europe busking. I had it strapped to my trolley and it fitted perfectly across my luggage without sticking out.

It packs up really small with a lot of little plastic headed screw bolts. I also bought the mic stand boom that goes with it.

Surprisingly, it is really stable and quite rugged. It has travelled over 5000 miles with me! I was really surprised at the quality whilst being a bit hesitant at the price of it.

One thing, the bottom screw has been lost on occasion and I have had to improvise a new nut and bolt to keep the bottom on. That would be my only major criticism. It is very easy to loose the screws that keep everything in place. So be aware of that. It is not as stable as a big mic stand as you would expect.

As a gigging mic, good for travel but maybe not for venues or big stages. Great for a busker, great for a small space perhaps or someone who needs to save on space. Overall, awesome though.

Very useful and handy but very low quality of components, namely all the screws and screw threads, for a high price

A good mic stand but not very durable
Adam_H 26.01.2018
The mic stand itself is pretty good as it works well and folds down really small but I have had this mic stand for a little under a year and only used it a handful of times within that year. One of the little screws has worn down and falls out as well as the nut and rubber inner part. which mean the tripod part doesn't hold now and needs to be taped in place. Aparently this is not covered under warranty as it is wear and tear. Not too impressed but I will continue using as this is the smallest mic stand of its kind as far as i am aware.

Lightweight but shockingly flimsy
imranino 30.04.2024
I bought this for the sole purpose of having a mic stand that I could fit in a bag for busking or any setups I wanted to travel by bicycle or public transport where carrying traditional mic stands is impractical because of their size and weight.

This definitely fits the bill but I only recommend it to other musicians through gritted teeth. I've used a lot since buying it a few years ago, and to be fair, it hasn't shown signs of wearing out. And also to be fair, the whole point of the product is that it's lightweight and telescopic.

The only poor piece of manufacturing is the threaded top, which simply doesn't play nicely with a boom. It's never fun to set up.

With all that said, it has never failed me (fallen over), and a the surprise bonus of being able to stand up straight on an uneven surface thanks to its telescopic legs.

Great stand!

I got this to use with my tablet holder as this can be folded to a smaller size than regular mic stands. It is more solid than I expected and works perfectly. I actually fit's into my backpack but it's not so light to carry, the weight however makes it more stable when used. The extended legs are a big plus when balancing the stand on a uneven surface.

I have mixed feelings. Very comfortable and foldable and also lightweight only one thing that make this stand a little unperfect is that when you fully adjust the hight there's a small amount of space maybe between the wall of tubes and because of that stand is a little awry. but in the end it's the most foldable mic stand that u can find for that price :)

Great portability. A bit on the heavy side but the built quality is pretty good. Very easy to mount/dismount.
