I use the C3000 mainly for home studio recording, to mic up guitar amps, & have used it occasionally for vocals. I have also used it a couple of times at live gigs as an instrument mic.
i have had good results in each of these scenarios, but i find it has been more effective as a guitar mic (i have other mics that are better suited for vocals)
Features:
the C3000 is a large condenser mic, with a gold sputtered 1" diaphragm.
it has a -10db attenuation switch for use in close miking, allowing you to record music with high sound pressure levels (up to 150db)
it also has a low cut filter switch which eliminates proximity effect.
it comes with a nicely designed shock mount, & a hard case
pros:
(check features above)
cons:
the only thing i can think of is that it has gone up in price since i bought it
all in all, it is a great little mic, good quality sound, sturdy build & good value for money
