These were purchased as a replacement for the leather/plastic originals. They are a little tricky to fit but it only took a few minutes. The attraction for buying these is that they are velour and should be comfortable. On the first instance, they are very comfortable but after an hour or so they begin to hurt my ears as they do not quite fit over them (I have small ears).
In short, they are well made and, for me, comfortable for shorter listening sessions.

Comfortable replacement for some Superlux models

I got these as a replacement for the original pads of my Superlux HD-662. They fit nicely and were easy to install after getting the technique down. Comfort of the headphones increases significantly compared to the originals as the velour is much better suited for long sessions. The sound is altered a little bit as these pads leak a little bit more. If you are getting these for your Superlux, the only downside is the price which is almost the same as the headphones themselves. If you are purchasing a new unit and thinking to pair them with these pads, you might want to check out the Superlux EVO models that ship with two pairs of pads (at least HD681 EVO), the others are velour.
