AKG K-601 Ear Pad

I purchase 2 pairs of the ear pads together with my headphones. It took me years to have to replace the ones that came with the headphones.

The great part about those is that they are incredibly comfortable and durable! The only con is the difficulty to install, however the it is mounted on the headphones is do good that they will never be apart unless I want to replace the pads again.

You cannot tell the pads have been replaced! It just looks cleaner.

I had an old pair of K702 headphones that I love but the ear pads had degraded away so much that my ears were basically resting on hard plastic - ouch!

Apparently using the ear pads from k601 gives a much nicer sound so I tried it and am very impressed. Fits perfectly, very comfortable and great sound.

My old K601 pads were beginning to get tired and so I decided to replace them with a nice new set.

Much more plush looking now and the sound of the headphone has just slightly altered since the drivers are slightly further away from my ears. Just slightly less warm but they will wear in again soon.

Easy to change, good quality, like a new.
