Very nice indeed...
al6s2491 20.11.2019
I have this bow for 6 years at least, and I have to say that I'm quite happy with this purchase. It is super light compared to wooden bows, and it is enough for me to use it as my primary bow or a secondary one.
The first hair that comes with it is not particularly good, and seems to be synthetic, but with a simple hair change it is all good.

The only bad thing that I can think of is that I noticed a slight camber in the bow, after quite a while that it was sitting orbeing used with half the hair on it. So I can't really be sure that it is the material's fault or mine that I left it for long with half the hair,so long that it drew the bow to one side a little...

A
High tech bow - very light
Anonymous 03.03.2016
I never tried a carbon bow and was curious about it.

Black finishing is wonderful. It gives a nice design. Very pleasant just to watch it.

The weight is very surprising. Very very light.

I only use mongolian horses hair. The sound is excellent.

If you don't want an expensive bow with a very good quality of sound, and good looking, don't hesitate !

A
Amazing bow!
Anonymous 02.12.2014
I bought this bow along with a new violin and case and was very very pleased with the results. The bow is very well made with excellent build quality and a very good looking black coloured finish. This bow handles excellently and is clear and easy to play with and can produce a great sound. When used with a high quality rosin it can sound completely stunning even when playing on some of the cheapest of violin strings available on the current market. I have found Dominant or Spirocore the best strings to use in conjunction with this bow. This bow has lasted a very long time and it is perfectly weighted to give a balanced sound across many genres of music. All in all this was a great purchase and I would highly recommend to anyone!

Back to Hofner
Eric344 11.09.2013
Bought a Hofner guitar way back in the 50's - which is still well playable. Bought new violin recently and had a choice of violin bows to choose from - price was important so going by my historical experience with Hofner I bought their Alfred Stingl AS34 V4/4 which I am very satisfied with (I am a beginner on the violin) but my tutor was impressed. Thoman service was red hot - everything (violin and bow) arrived on time.

B
Very good bow
BR123 23.11.2024
My daugher and her violin teacher tested the following bows:
- Artino BF-11 Carbon Violinbow 4/4
- Gewa Carbon Student Violin Bow 4/4
- Roth & Junius RJB Carbon Violin Bow 4/4 BR
- Artino Retro Carbon Violin Bow 4/4
- Alfred Stingl by Höfner AS34 V4/4 Carbon Violin Bow
- Gewa Advanced Carbon Violin Bow 4/4
- Artino Violin Bow 4/4 Special Edition

The teacher didn't know which bow was which and was not aware of the price ranges. Her top 3 with respect to bow handling and sound quality was
- Alfred Stingl by Höfner AS34 V4/4 Carbon Violin Bow
- Gewa Advanced Carbon Violin Bow 4/4
- Artino BF-11 Carbon Violinbow 4/4
She thought that any of these was very good for my daughter but she was especially impressed by the handling and sound of the Alfred Stingl by Höfner AS34 V4/4 Carbon Violin Bow and we ended buying that one.
