The poor quality plastic broke the first time I used it, RUBBISH!
TCSMD 20.09.2021
This may seem like a great little tool in theory. There's always a risk of damaging the finish when tightening toggle switch nuts with the wrong tool. Inches on one end and metric on the other makes this tool seem like the perfect solution.

However, in real life it turned out to be useless. The little notches that are supposed to grab the nut weren't robust enough to tighten the nut any more than I could have done with my fingers. The little plastic notches wore out completely at the first sign of resistance (and yes, I did use the correct side). The tool is now garbage.

Completely useless for anything more than "finger tight".

NOT recommended, a complete waste of money and resources. I honestly don't understand why Thomann would sell this junk.

No more scratched paintwork!
Anonymous 29.08.2015
First off I have to say a huge thanks to Thomann for such a great delivery service, quick, cheap and informed tracking from Europe to UK.
Right, the wrench....almost all my guitars (15) have a toggle switch, 9 of those switches have a knurled collar which can only be unscrewed safely with this wrench, before purchasing this I was using pliers or an adjustable spanner, both of which can't get even a half decent hold on the collar so are prone to slipping off the collar and scratching the gituars' body, well no more my friends! this wrench has both metric and imperial sockets covering all my Japanese Matsumoku guitars and my USA guitars, its sturdy, comfortable and effortlesss to use, magnificent!

Hmmm, not great
SachaS 02.09.2015
I generally really like allparts stuff and as a guitar tech I use a lot of it but this, well, it's not great. It worked ok for the first couple of times but the ABS type plastic they use isn't anywhere near hard enough and the serrated edge which grips the knurled switch nut will strip eventually.

I wouldn't really recommend it although there isn't a lot of other options out there other than a metal type fork tool which I'll try next.

Seriously useful
Redcat 04.07.2020
I might not need this often but it when I did it was very useful, you can undo the switch with no fear of damaging the finish on the guitar. Used it to reverse the bridge/ neck switching on an epi casino coupe, glad it there for next time I need it. I only ordered it to make up the £100 needed for free shipping but it's already paid for itself.
