Reduce toxic waste - hopefully
andrew_gessien 06.04.2021
My bass guitar was getting through a regular (branded) 9V battery in about 3 weeks. These ones seem to last about the same, but I pop them in the charger instead of having to take them to battery disposal. They've only been through about 5-10 charge cycles so it's too early to talk about longevity.

Sturdy recharble battery
Anonymous 11.08.2016
I use this particular battery for my Dunlop Crybaby Wah Pedal, which eats up relatively large amounts of energy when used actively, and keeps eating away discreetly even when it is not being used actively but left hooked up (hence left on) during breaks etc. Yet this battery keeps holding its own through a couple of rehearsals and a gig with the Wah used at least half the time.

Thanks to the strength of the battery, the Wah pedal does not cease to operate suddenly either as it might do with inexpensive disposable batteries but rather gives a discreet sign in the way that the signal power gets slightly less stronger and the Wah effect a little less apparent, so that it is time to pull the wahwah pedal out of the chain or replace the battery.

I use the inexpensive Texus unit which comes with one battery of its own, to charge the Ansmann on the second slot of the Texus, and it does just fine to get charged overnight and back in the wahwah the next day at full force.

Beware - Slightly smaller!
Michaela C. 02.06.2017
This battery works ok but it is slightly smaller than any other 9V Battery I have ever used. When I played live with the battery installed in my acoustic guitar it would always fall out if I bumped the guitar to hard. Its the only battery it happens with and when I check the size it is definitely smaller. Not a great idea IMO! Not great when the guitar dies mid song. Use at your own peril.

Worth replacing your stock batteries with this
Anonymous 02.03.2015
I purchased this battery to power my new guitar with active EMG pickups, and I'm glad I did! The battery that came stock was extremely poor and the difference in sound when replaced with the Ansmann battery was eye opening.

I expect it will last a long time before needing to be recharged (with the Tecxus 9V Power-Set I bought in the same order).

highly recommended, you'll save a fortune in disposable batteries.
