The steel-wound strings are a bit imperfect. They rust within months and tend to weaken split a bit at pressure points like the bridge. They still work, but they're less robust than say guitar strings and how they degrade over time. It's just worth knowing and noting. That said, what are your alternatives for a baritone uke?
