This is my first Arturia controller. I've purchased the Keystep to control my Digitone, Digitakt and other Synths connected to them.
I love the feeling of the keys; much better than some other controllers out there on the market. Also, the arpeggiator is very useful.
This is an excellent controller for both recording and performing.

Handiest Little Controller this side of the Pecos
12Kevin 16.05.2022
I got this little guy to go with my laptop DAW for travel. It is so handy, I also use it in my home studio. Remarkably robust options for sequencing and other MIDI control functions. Most curious is how playable it is. The 32 mini keys are wider than you usually see on mini-keyboards, so you can actually do some two-handed playing on it. It's a bit hefty for travel, but then it stays put when you're playing it. All for the cost of a decent guitar pedal.

Excellent product, highly recommended!
TrEr 08.02.2018
PROS:
-The keys have aftertouch and feel very nice for such a small and compact design.
-Lots of sync options. My personal favourite being that it translates MIDI to Korg pulse which allows me to easily sync my DAW to Korg stuff like the Volcas. And it has minijack sync I/O.
-Proper MIDI ins/outs (not just USB) and CV outputs.
-Excellent polyphonic 64 step sequencer (very user friendly when connected to a computer). I don't really use the step sequencer much but it works great! Very nice arpeggiator too.
-Very intuitive in use. Very easy to learn all basic functions.
-Lots of "under the hood" settings and options (like velocity curves CV/gate settings, etc.). A lot more than I will probably ever need. Far too much to get into here but the manual can be downloaded from the Arturia website.
-Very nice design, looks classier than most midi keyboards.
-Excellent build quality, feels sturdier than most midi keyboards I've used.
-9v power input so it can be used as standalone.
CONS:
-Although it has a 9v input it can't be used with standard Boss type adapter. It requires a 500mA adapter to work. This is EXTREMLY inconvenient but it's also the only negative thing I have to say about the Keystep.
Great product, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Good feel, reliable
GlennyG 17.03.2020
I have had this for a few years now, and so far it has been flawless. My only wish was that it has more knobs, but you can't have it all. Easily the best feeling mini keyboard.
Pros:
+ Great feel
+ Compact
+ Solid build
Cons:
+ Wish it had more encoders
+ my personal preference is for modwheels, but the touch strip is very functional

Excellent portable keyboard.
conchúr 14.03.2020
Genuinely a brilliant MIDI controller. Excellent for use in the studio or when travelling. Lovely response on the keys (for the price), and the inbuilt sequencer is really special.
It's also satisfyingly weighted, not too flimsy, and not too bulky. I use it over nearly any other controller I have simply because it feels the best to use.

simple midi keyboard with lots of features.
nikolasdark 20.05.2022
I wanted a simple and versatile midi keyboard that can be used with software and hardware synths. This is perfect for the job, it has many connectivity options (MIDI,USB,CV,Clock) and a nice sequencer. Very intuitive to use.
build quality is good, does not feel cheap at all.
The only thing I am missing is multi track sequencing. for that you will need to go to the pro version.

I use it with many different synth plugins to record music at home. I needed more keys to play cheezy lofi jazz chords, and this replaced my garbage 50$ midi keyboard. The Keystep has the right sensitivity that I need, and it just feels like quality. The only thing I don't like is the pitch bend/modulation bar. It is not very easy to use, a classic wheel is much better.

All i wished for!
matthias.bl 07.07.2021
I really like the Aturia Keystep, because it is small enough to fit on my desk and has enough keys to be able to play over multiple octaves. For me it is the best mixture of size and features. The keys feel very good (but i do not really have a comparison, as it is my first master keyboard).
The Arpeggiator, Chord Play Mode and Sequencer are nice to have, but so far i have no used them too much. Never the less i would definitely recommend this controller to everybody searching for a light weight but high quality device.
