I was afraid to buy because of the higher tension I was afraid it would break itself apart over time. Well, we shall see. While I prefer the Baritone ukulele's deeper rich tone, I find this Tenor size with all the sympathetic double string tones just magical sounding. It really is like a mandolin in the form of an easier to play ukulele. The action is good, tuners are ok, the harmonics are as close as possible, the work is tidy and clean, the look is just acceptable if unremarkable, however the SOUND is incredible. I would not play every kind of ukulele music on this instrument (It begs for bluegrass, or gypsy style jazz) but for what it is, and the wide pallet of sound, sustain and projection it produces, I would say at this low price if you like the ukulele you must own an 8 string uke. If I had to venture a guess and was not looking but just hearing it, I would honestly think the cost at the very least 250 - 300 euro. at less than half that cost, just get one.
