I bought this case to set up a new system next to my 7U Intellijel case.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the manufacturing quality: it is a robust case, the power supply is very well built and the top of the case (where there are all the rear connectors) has a line of dedicated power connectors to the 1U modules, which is very appreciable. The strap provided is also very well made and perfectly adapted to the case.
However, the case has 2 points that could be improved in my opinion. First, unlike the Intellijel case, it is not tiltable. I knew this when I bought it, so no unpleasant surprises on my side. Just that at this price, we would like to be able to tilt it.
Also, and more surprisingly, the protective lid does not adapt very well to "Knurlies" type screws, sold by Befaco. In fact, the edges of the lid rest on the Knurlies because they protrude from the case. It is therefore necessary to put knurlies all around the case, even if there are no modules in these places so that the lid can rest on the screws. This is a rather disappointing point in my opinion, to see now with time how the lid supports the constraint of being supported on screws.
In conclusion, I am removing a star for the knurlies problem. Nevertheless, keep in mind that this opinion is generally positive ;) This is a robust and super beautiful case which has the merit of being THE real competitor to the Intellijel case.
