I'm not quite sure of what to make of Behringer. I love that they are resurrecting classic analog synths, but baffled by the choice of poor quality components and poor quality control. I was very excited to receive my 2600, and it does sound great. However, out-of-the box some of the default normalizations weren't working properly and I got stuck in a rabbit hole with Music Tribe support trying to resolve. Now they are telling me that I can no longer return to Behringer, but must return to Thomann. I live in the US, and am hoping there is a US-based service center I can ship to - otherwise will be too cost-prohibitive to get repaired.
Over the last two weeks, I have a new issue with the synth - when I turn it on, there is no audio, although MIDI is passing through to a connected device and all LEDs light up, etc. I need to turn the unit on multiple times (today on and off twenty times) before the synth will make a sound. Disappointing - I would be delighted to pay many hundreds more if the gear actually worked and was built to last.
