Behringer B112D

I bought the B112D as a monitor to go with my LD28 Maui PA which I have to place in front of me to avoid any feedback worries. The B112D was inexpensive but did the job as I needed the EQ controls to try and "match" it to the LD.
After a year, I decided to get a second one and try a two speaker powered "backline" which was lighter than the LD bass bin. The B112D finally became available and I bought the second one and gave it a try instead of the LD system. They were "okay" but could not match the clarity of the Maui system.
I will still use the B112D as a monitor and find a use for the second one for rehearsing. If I could spend more time with the B112Ds in a club or pub set up and do some experimenting they might work out, but at their low price they are well worth the money for monitors for sure. They sound great in the house, but not as good in a pub/hotel gig.

I have been using these speakers for about 3 years now. Use one individually in workshops for groups of 10 - 60 and as a pair for concerts. Mostly I use them in schools, but have also used for solo gigs, small band setup and for bigger band for dancing. I've even used them for an outdoor wedding. They are fantastic quality for the price.

Pros: Although they are small speakers, they fill any room I've used them in really well with a full sound. They are light and so pretty easy to handle, even if the design for handling isn't the best, in my opinion. They are well made and last the test of time - in and out of several schools a week for three years and hardly a mark on them. They've never let me down.

Cons: Obviously they will never have the sound quality of something 4 times the price, but it works for my needs. The only handle on the speaker is on the top, making it difficult to put on the stand if it's particularly high or more awkward to carry round than if it had one on the side too.
