Exactly what I was looking for
Teutonic Terror 14.04.2020
This is a high-quality, low-price pedal - I highly recommend it!

I was looking for a way to boost the level of my guitar during solos. I found that boost pedals not only made my guitar louder, but altered the tone in ways that I didn't like; they also introduced a lot of unwanted noise. All I wanted was something to make my solos stand out.

I had seen articles on the internet suggesting that an EQ pedal, placed last in the signal chain, might do the trick. My idea was to try the least expensive REPUTABLE product that I could find, and this Behringer seemed to fill the bill.

It turns out that this is exactly correct! With all the bands set at 0 and the level bumped up a couple of Db, this pedal gives my sound a small boost without altering the tone at all. Even better, the Behringer EQ700 is extremely quiet!

Although I don't use it as an EQ per se, I have played with it in that role and it seems to do very well. In fact, if I decide to add a graphic EQ type pedal to my chain, I will buy another one of these.

My only word of caution would be that the casing is made of plastic. I suspect that if you are very hard on pedals and are stomping on this one a lot, it will eventually break (and probably at the worst possible time). However, since I use a loop switcher, I never need to activate the footswitch on this pedal, so I expect that it will last a very long time.

Overall, I highly recommend this pedal as a level boost!

A
Great pedal for the price.
Armageljon 22.07.2019
I find the pedal works just as well as the boss graphic eq of similar format. I use it in the effect loop of a high gain amp such as a Peavey 6505 to cut out certain frequencies in the end of the signal chain for making vocals in the band mix stand out or for reducing certain frequencies that build up form pre-gain eq settings. It does the job well. Build is ok. Can also be used as a boost.

MJ
fair product
Mr. Jeckyll 11.02.2021
For the price, is just neat. Behringer nails every single part of the circuit it bases its analog pedals on at a ridiculous price. Of course, no one gives a dollar for a cent so the chassis is quite weak. If you expect that this product survive an energetic gig kicking it every two songs, you're gonna be quite dissapointed. But if you have a switching system on your pedalboard, that's the least of the problems with these pedals.

Decent EQ
The Gear Reviewr 07.04.2022
This pedal is very good value. It opens up a very wide range of tones and also acts as a great volume boost in front of your amp. I was able to get a much clearer tone out of my humbucking pick-ups and punch and definition to fuzz and overdrive pedals which I learned a lot from.

Worth having
idontknowwhattothinkanymore 03.06.2020
I wasn't sure I needed a graphic EQ, so I got the Behringer to dip my toes and as my first pedal from them I was pleasantly surprised with the quality.
Not completely transparent, and the bands boost the signal when set to 0, but with some tweaking it's a very usable pedal and the hiss is negligible.
Sturdy enough for live use, especially if left always on.

Unusable for quiet passages due to noise
Paulleigh 20.08.2019
With all controls set level the pedal is quiet. As soon as controls are moved away from level, even towards cut, there is a hiss which is too loud for quiet passages, making the pedal unusable. Thomann said this is normal, so I don't know if I have a faulty pedal or not.

Good value quality/price
El Arterao 21.06.2021
It is a little bit noisy, but just a little. Useless for recording, just OK for guitar, really handy when it comes to EQ a mic and rise their signal or a stompbox; something like that.

Great deal for the money. Dont let you cheat about the plastic cover, the thing is durable, even if you stomp on it like hell (I do and after 3 years still like new.

Plastic but still fantastic
LOHADavis 07.06.2021
This isn't a super durable design (all plastic) and doesn't feel the best to use.
HOWEVER
This is the cheapest 'real' EQ pedal that just works a charm, in the best way possible it has no 'sound' and just allows you to shape the tone how you like. I can't recommend it highly enough, the only thing is that if you are travelling a lot then you might want a more expensive one with a metal enclosure (that's probably double the price) just for the peace of mind.

Very high noise floor, practically unusable
nkovac 10.05.2021
This pedal is my first guitar EQ pedal. Once turned on it has a very audible hiss noise. Ironically the hiss can partially be lowered by lowering the highs on the unit itself, but not removed.
It might be ok for players with a very distorted tone that need to shape their signal before the distortion or tame the low end a bit, otherwise, I do not see it as usable at all.
I am sure my unit works is not broken as the hiss sounds like a stacked noise of many noisy mic preamps, and not like any buzz or rattle of bad wiring, or RF interference.
I do not care it is plastic, it feels quite capable of years of studio use for instance.
Pros: It is an eq pedal, the EQ part of it works as expected, mechanically it is ok for the price.
Cons: Practically unusable because of its high noise floor. If you need a noise making machine this thing is great, but as an eq pedal for any cleanish guitar tone it is hopeless.

Big difference for small change
Burlo 01.05.2020
Didn’t think I needed an EQ but thought I’d try this because it was SO cheap. It’s capable of making a huge difference to your tone, well worth the money and then some. Only 3 stars for quality because of the plastic housing but it still feels pretty solid if you don’t need access to the battery compartment.
