A great cheap way to connect all of my Synths to my interface!
Stabress 14.12.2021
This product works AMAZINGLY for it's price, it sounds pretty great, and is pretty flexible, you get to connect everything to it in either mono or stereo, get individual controls over 8 different channels, and global visual feedback (not per individual channel).
I do get a bit of hissing on high volumes, but I can't tell if it comes from the RX, my synths, cables or interface.

Overall I'm really happy with it, and it was a great way to get all of my synths and more into the instrument jack of my interface for dirt cheap!!

Highly recommended if you need to get many channels into one output without breaking the bank! :)

R
Perfect for my setup
RobSt 18.01.2023
Perfect for mixing the outputs of a bunch of synths, enabling to record it using a 2-inputs audio interface.

I use the 'send fx' for sending audio through my Vermona Filter Lancet.

Low noise, if any.

If 16 inputs (8 stereo) are enough, this mixer will suit you just fine.

Game-changing setup possibilities for multi-track studios
Bear (GeexTreme) 09.12.2024
1U rack mixers are always a bit hard to find, but the 1602 V2 is cheap, readily available and absolutely worth the effort if you're simply connecting a mixing a lot of electronic instruments. It's not the cheapest Behringer mixer but in terms of cost-per-channel, it's cheaper than an MX400 micro-mixer!

I'm so impressed with the low noise and simple gain and panning controls that don't move too easily, the easy-to-read level meter and the switchable levels per channel that I've seriously considered just getting two more and using them as sub groups to an Apollo 8 - that would be 48 channels, or 24 stereo synthesiers and sound modules, all individually adjustable for gain when there's an irritating low or high level of patch, and with simple muting to get rid of the USB-beep-and-chirp troublemakers.

It feels solid and well made, has a proper IEC socket for power so no wall-warts (unlike many cheaper desktop mixers) and the headphone output can be switched to use as a monitor/FX send. I find the headphone output handy when creating patches as I can listen to the layered synths before they're in the DAW.

It's very hard to see why any electronic music producer would need anything more sophisticated, if they're doing all the channel strips, EQ and effects 'in the box'. If I make it to summer 2025 without buying more I'll be amazed.

Great value, useful mixer.
Greenalien 03.03.2020
The mixer fits conveniently into 1U of 19" rack space, making it ideal to sit alongside MIDI sound modules, effects units or other outboard equipment.
Each of the 8 stereo inputs has a pair of 6.35mm jack sockets, which are balanced (trs) but can be used unbalanced if required. Switchable sensitivity makes each pair of inputs suitable for line level or microphone input.
On the front panel, each stereo channel has volume and balance controls plus a feed for monitoring or to feed an effects unit. Each channel can be individually muted, making it easy to switch off any unused channels to reduce unwanted noise.
It's easy to see which channels are muted as the muting switch is illuminated with a red led when the channel is off.
Overall master level controls are provided for left and right channels, with led bar graphs to show signal presence and levels.
The mains lead plugs directly into the back of the unit, no separate external power supply is required.
Overall, a very useful and versatile mixer that is ideal in a situation where a number of items of equipment need to be connected and have their levels set but then largely left alone.

JV
Stereo channel monster...
Jon V 17.08.2023
Well, simple is often the best solution. This mixer from Behringer is quite something! Extreme value for money is the first factor to be reckoned. Ease of use, check! Solid built, check! Sound wise, well above average (my first impression). For my needs (synths, iPad, drum machine, my guitar too… it seems the FINAL solution. In my case, a small home studio setup, just for fun. Yes, I know, this mixer has no compression or equalisers but I don’t see that as a downside in any way, given this fantastic price/quality.

Yes, I’m quite satisfied! Break a leg…!

This unit is ideal if like me you have multi keyboards and other line out instruments if you want to practise looking for sounds or play live without going through a computer.

It is well built and feels really good quality and the sound is superb for its cost. Ideal for a home studio.

Clean, noise-free sound
Miro S 12.05.2023
I bought it as a sub-mixer for Behringer RD-9.
After plugging all channels in, I must admit that the sound quality is very clean (transparent). I don't feel like there's any sound degradation. Also, the level of noise is very low to the point that I can't hear it in daily operation.
It's a very good and cheap mixer. It doesn't add character or anything like that, which is expected in this price range. But as a mixer or sub-mixer, it works really well.

Voor deze prijs niet twijfelen. Kortom samengevat TOP product dat er tevens in slaagt enkele duurdere concurrerende merken te overschaduwen.
