Exactly what you hope for
fischek 03.10.2023
I was expecting it to be the perfect Jarre sound machine, but didn't really see much videos of that online, so I was wondering. Turns out it's exactly what I need and hoped for. I am now playing most of Equinoxe and switching to Oxygene soon. :)

The build quality is great and I love the fact that it was built to be put on a synth that is at an angle and doesn't fall off.

Overall, super happy with this purchase.

Amazing!
MagnusX 19.11.2024
I have been searching for this perticular string sound since the 80´s!
The Behringer solina string ensemble produce that retro futuristic sound! It is a simple and intuitive instument, it can do very few things but what it can do, it does really well. The sound is thick with analogue warmth and with the modulation and phaser in play this thing takes you on a journey deep into space. If you are looking for a crisp and super clear sound this is not for you, but if you are looking for a true and a little bit gritty 70´s analogue string sound this is it! I´ve played it via midi from vintage synths and some midi keyboards without any problems, sending midi to and from it with Logic Pro X works fine too.

Sounds really nice
Bosil 27.09.2023
I’ve always wanted a Solina string ensemble after using one in studio 20 years ago. But paying a fortune for a vintage one is out of the question. I’ve tried the Arturia one, but thought it was nothing like the real thing.
This is my first Behringer product, and I have to admit I was a bit sceptical.
This is one of their better looking products, and the quality seems just fine. I can imagine the color button for the phaser could easily break if you’re hard-handed, but everything else seems ok.
This fills a nice place in my studio together with my other synths, a Prophet 5 and Mood Grandmother.
Highly recommended (after one day’s use, that is).

Finally I can get the sound of my childhood
rez 27.11.2024
As a big fan of Jean-Michel Jarre early albums Oxygène and Équinoxe (yes in le french of course) I waited this synthesizer all my life, so I am the happiest man in the world to be able to play with it.
The sound is incredible, especially with a good reverb (I bought a Strymon BlueSky especially for this), the parameters are very simple to use and tweak and with the different combination of "instruments" you can get a good amount of different sounds.
I absolutely love it ❤️🙏

Ig
For those who like a classic string sound.
I've got blisters on me fingers 29.02.2024
faithfully re creates the classic sound off the solina which has been used in so many iconic hits of their era. don't be disgruntled by the simple and basic design of this piece. It is that simplicity that is key as the original was a basic organ but the sounds combined with with added FX is what makes this an awesome addition to your studio. From Pink Floyd, Jean Michel Jarre, and most disco era. this provides atmospheric pads and leads

R
This is the string sound you have been looking for
RoquePort 09.12.2024
Back in the 70s, two amazing string sounds competed against each other, one came courtesy of the Mellotron, and the other from the Solina. Behringer have done an amazing job in reproducing the latter. It comes as a small box with just a couple of buttons and sliders, but after you find the sweet spot, you probably won't ever need to change anything. This is not a versatile mini-synth, don't expect variety, but if you love the Solina it gives you the string sound you have been looking for at a more than affordable price.
