Probably the best replica of the "Green overdrive" we all know
Dtat 18.05.2021
At first I was a little hesitant, but after all the pedal is pretty much affordable. So I decided to give it a shot. I must say I was impressed by the results.

I used the pedal with a VOX AV15 and an Epiphone ES 339 Pro.

2 really surprising things happened.

1) The amp took the pedal really well ( my personal opinion )
2) The pedal worked really well and the sound was pretty close to the 150$ vintage overdrive pedal. ( not dead on, but pretty close )

So these were the pros of the pedal, let me mention some of the cons that I find important to be aware of before you decide whether to buy it or not.

1) It's not a sturdy pedal. It's plastic completely. So if you are a stage musician who is looking for a dependable pedal, this one would not be my first choice. I would definitely keep this one as a back up pedal though.

2) The design is not the most friendly user design ever ( I am talking about the battery compartment ) Sometimes it could be a little problematic to place the battery. But all and all it works with an adapter too.

To sum up, great pedal for home, but if you are gigging musician you might find it a little under the standards you are looking for.

A bargain Tube screamer that rivals the original!
Vepar 06.09.2019
This is the tube screamer, and not just any tube screamer, but the original one! There is literally no difference in sound whatsoever! The controls are familliar, and it works the same. Gain on minimum, level at maximum, tone in the middle for a boost, everything else for a good overdrive.

The build quality is like any other Behringer pedal of this range however and that means plastic all over with wonky connectors. The knobs are ok though. But for a approx. $20 pedal, it's no surprise, nor does it matter in this case because most people will have it on all the time without stomping on it too much (as a boost).

If you never tried a Tube screamer as a boost, this is the best one to get to see if you like/need a tube screamer in your life. It's affordable and the sound is (at least to me) indistinguishable from the real thing. Later, you might want to upgrade to a real one in case you need a sturdier pedal, but for a pedal that stays on and isn't stomped on, this one will last a while too!

It's amazing value for the price!

Was super impressed.
Anonymous 17.10.2021
I was pleasantly surprised at how well I got used to the overdrive sound of this budget friendly pedal. Was my very first pedal but I know enough to understand that the quality of this is punching way above it's price point.

I
Dead-on TS clone
Irzal 08.06.2021
It's a dead-on TS clone - the only drawback is the plastic case. However, it's very sturdy plastic, so it should last for a substantial perod. You should have a power supply ready because it has a rather odd battery slot.
I use it as a boost pedal (always on): right after a wah with 0 drive, tone at 9 o'clock and level maxed. If you stack a dirtier OD, or a distortion after it you get great rock and blues tones through a tube based amp.

Blindfolded, it's a TS808
Cj 02.08.2023
I had an original tube screamer on loan for a recording project and I loved the sound I got from it, but had to give it back. Came across a YouTube video by JHS Pedals comparing Behringer pedals to the originals, so I went ahead and bought a few different models.
None of them have disappointed, but this little dude is used almost everyday. Highly recommended, the only reason for knocking off a quality star is that I would be concerned the plastic case may not be best suited for continuous live stage abuse (e.g. being kicked across the stage every night), however at the price at least replacing it won't break the bank. Great pedal, great price.

Get Tube / Valve Type Sound Cheaply
BillDL 04.04.2022
This pedal is able to achieve sounds that are very close to the well known green pedal by a large brand name that has been used by many famous guitarists over the years ..... but you don't have to pay a large amount of money to get this sound. I play mostly rock blues style, so I do not need heavy metal distortion. This pedal offers mild rich overdrive through to fairly heavily overdriven sounds with a very valve-like feel, and it responds very well to the volume control in the guitar.

This pedal survived years of abuse
Press K 02.07.2020
I've had this little pedal for years now. Its coloring has faded from being exposed to the sun for too long, its rubber cover on the step portion has fallen off...

But the thing still works. For the money I paid for it years ago, I've gotten a ton of value back.

Its pots do feel wonky and it's sometimes hard to get the tone you are looking for out of it. Stepping on the pedal will sometimes turn it on and off as the button below it is not super-reliable. Replacing the battery is always an annoyance due to how the thing is put together — you need to push a spring mechanism in from both ends, then do the same when putting it back together.

I've mainly been using it as a booster for my distortion channels, and it served its purpose just fine for that.

In fact, it still does — it's hooked to my bedroom amp right now.

At first i wasn't very impressed with it but as i started experimenting i managed to get the sounds i wanted out of it, it's made of plastic so don't expect to throw it under a bus and for it to survive

Einsetzbar ohne Einschränkungen
AndeM 30.03.2022
