scratchy knobs after 1.5 years
Firstly let me get this straight, I don't bash Behringer and don't have much time for those that do.
It is what it is.. .a great piece of kit for a starter setup at very low cost.
Seriously, 16 Channels for under 200 euro (as it was when i bought it) is a lot of bang for buck!
The sound path is very clean, with a very low noise floor, even after continuous use for more than one year now.
The FX are very decent, I love the reverb (03) for my analog synths and the Chorus is lush.
However (and here comes the "Behringer" effect) a few months ago the most used knobs (FX send) started to become scratchy and now other are starting to do the same.
Behringer makes great budget gear, that gives you very decent performance to get started with whatever it is you might want to be doing, but don't expect it to have the same durability as equipment that will cost you nearly twice as much or more.
Again, this is not a slight against the manufacturer, rather a reminder to set your expectations according to your budget :)
I am aware they do make more upmarket gear as well and
I cannot speak for that.
Logic would state that those things have higher quality components :)
To sum up:
You get a very good budget desk but be prepared to upgrade your gear in future.

Powerful for a hobbyist
Here is a little review of Behringer XENYX X1622USB analog mixer. First of all - what was I looking for on the market? I was after 8 or 16 channel mixer to be part of my small home studio to mix synth, drum machine, sampler, Traktor, and 2xPC audio; to be able to record either via USB or FW and most important - to have slider controls and be within £100 - £150 price range. I spent fair amount of time researching and have limited my search to Mackie, Allen Heath and Soundcraft brands, Behringer was the very last on the list as I have had small 5 channel XENYX before and was not delighted with it. Why did I buy this Behringer then? At the very last moment I realized that all other consoles I was looking at have had less stereo inputs that I needed - XENYX 1644 has got 4 stereo channels + RCA input and only this model was matching stereo input requirement along with the price. The only concern left was the size - will it take much space on my desk? Despite concerns I placed and order and must admit that mixer I received has actually impressed me: sweepable mids, plenty of FX send/return options - either to internal FX processor or external, compressor + gain + low cut on first 4 channels, advertised 4 ST channels, FX footswitch, MUTE + SOLO on each channel, main output LED meter and CLIP + SOLO LEDs on each channel and compact size (dimensions are similar to 14" laptop wide open). For a hobbyist musician/producer like me within this price bracket it was a perfect solution. It has offered plenty of features and maybe even more than I needed. Would rate 4.5

Great mixing table for many purposes
This is a must-have for many occasions. If you have a sound system with several sources and want a simple mixing table, this is it. If you want to go live with your system, then this is it. Great table.
Pros:
- Many features
- EQ and FX
- N. tracks
Cons:
For the price tag, none.

Behringer Xenyx X1622USB is a fantastic mixer
This mixer was bought from Thomann so that I could use it with Streamlabs to stream on Twitch via ASIO plugins. it works brilliantly with all the control I need to live mix my sound when streaming. Because it has USB output to a PC, it connects all my sound directly to the stream without the need for any other interfaces. I streamed the microphone, guitar, drum box and keyboards at the same time and the output sound quality is brilliant! I also use the built in effects like Chorus on the guitar track.

Amazing sound and feature packed.
I compared this to directly to Soundcraft / Allen & Heath mixers and the preamps and eq were just as clear and powerful. However this mixer is half the price and feature packed!

Great versatile unit
Use: Home studio: acoustic/electric guitar, drum machine & vocals.
Pro's: Solid design, sliders and pots seem robust so far. Good FX and control options. Excellent range of inputs to expand beyond use described above. Sound Quality excellent also. I often see reviewers question the build quality of Behringer mixers but my experience with this unit has only been positive thus far.
Con's: I have yet to encounter an issue that I would specifically identify as a negative.
Summary: For the price range I think this unit is extremely versatile and powerful and I would recommend to others.

Toffe mixer!
Toffe mixer!
Mogelijkheden genoeg dus!
