Ich habe neue Kopfhörer für Live/FOH gesucht. Idealerweise sollte das neue Paar auch zum Abhören bei Aufnahmen verwendet werden, insbesondere bei relativ feinen Signalen bei lautem Abhören (z. B. Stimmen auf Musik).

Meine klangliche Referenz waren HD 650. Der Vergleich ist etwas Äpfel zu Birnen, da HD 650 von offener Bauart sind, aber zu irgendwas muss sich ja relativ eingeordnet werden.

Hier ein paar schnelle Eindrücke zum DT-770 M 80 Ω: Mittenlastig, sehr pappig, klingen fast phasig. Klanglich für mich nicht hinnehmbar. Sehr gute Isolation in Höhen. Ohrkissen hart, dadurch sehr schnell durchlässig mit Brille. Isolation links gefühlt weniger als rechts (vielleicht wegen des Kabeldurchlasses?).

Good for drums, too bassy for vocals

They're good headphones overall. Very enjoyable for listening to music, good isolation etc.
But when it comes to monitoring, the sound isn't "flat" at all. It's bassy and you barely hear any high frequencies.
That's fine for drums but for recording vocals, it's hard to hear pronunciation and sibilance.
So to call these "monitor" headphones is a bit of a stretch since it's hard to hear the actual sound that is being recorded.

Isolation is good, sound leaves much to be desired

I bought these headphones thinking they would have similar sound quality to my DT770 Pro while offering better isolation. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. The sound signature is completely different. To me, these sound a lot more mid-forward and almost boxy. I think they lack detail in the highs, mids, and lows. Subfrequencies are basically nonexistent.

I planned on using the DT770 M for live mixing in a noisy environment. I must say that because these headphones sound honest and unflattering, they make certain mixing decisions easier.

Compared to the DT770 Pros, the DT770 M headphones significantly sacrifice sound quality for just a little more isolation. The tradeoff in sound quality is just not worth it for me.

The noise-cancelling is ok, but could be a little bit better from drum usage. The fabrik gives away black color, so needed to put socks over the phones to avoid black rings around the eares... not very pretty =) so thus quality only 2
