These are the best-selling open-back headphones, but I sold them (The sound varies greatly depending on the degree of pressing to your head.
My head is small, for me the middle looks like a failure.
And if the head is large, then the ear pads are pressed and the place for the ears disappears)) Then it is not comfortable.

Once I bought original ear pads for the 990 and was disappointed to see that they differed from the original ones in size (they were just a different batch), even the left one was larger than the right one((. Since then I have been disappointed in "beyerdynamic".

I changed them to HD560S.

I chose Sennheiser HD560S instead. And I'm not looking for headphones anymore))) They are better in everything - quality, sound, weight, comfort, cable.
I also have a Shure 440A.

I tried mixing a typical rock song on these head phones but my guitars disappeared on these headphones because it can’t pick up the mids properly. When I adjusted the volume to hear the mids on these headphones and then switched to my old headphones the guitars were blasting in my ears. I had to return these headphones because they are not ideal for mixing at all and the mids are so important in mixing especially for guitar tone.
