The problem with majority of amps (especially tube ones), beside its weight and sometimes clumsiness, is that they don't sound good with every type of guitar. Or, at least, several adjustments of volume, EQ, gain etc. are needed, which can be very annoying in situations when fast reaction is needed (e.g. gigs). In other words, no matter if you choose any amp or modelling multieffect pedal(board) you always face spending hours and hours in search of desired tone (sometimes even without desired result). With Bogner Ecstasy Mini that problem is solved: not only because it's easy to adjust the sound via really responsive knob controls and switches, but also because in most cases you don't need to adjust anything at all! It really sounds unimaginable and completely unreal that you could literally plug in any type of electric guitar (with single coils, humbuckers, P90 etc.) and that it would sound just perfect or very near to it. I'm using it with Laney Lionheart L5 box, but it's compatible with any kind of 8/16 Ohm cabinet. And last but not least, it's loud as Hell! I'm seriously taking into consideration to put aside all other very heavy amps I have and to take on gigs just 1.8 kg light Bogner Mini with me. My next purchase will surely be Soldano Mini, because I'm very curious to compare these two pieces of equipment, but the bottom line is if you combine this little devil with your pedalboard or even with just a few basic pedals, you definitely don't need anything else. Many thanks and gratitude to Mr. Reinhold Bogner and of course to retailer Thomann for distributing this brilliant amp at more than a fair price.
P.S. Everything written refers to the dirty sound. If you're looking for amp with clean feature, this one is not for you. But if your basic tone is distorted (from light to heavy) with the possibility of bolding it with various pedals (booster, TS9 and so one), in the solid state world it would be hard to find more decent lighter, smaller and louder product.
