I've been playing harp for over 20 years and have always used Honer Pro Harp or Special 20. Just recently I decided to buy a Seydel Session series and I was very pleased with a number of features.
The sound is comparable to the Pro Harp and I can get just as much compression with the Seydel Session. Another thing I like about the Seydel is the comb is plastic which is much easier on the lips. Recently Honer have changed to a brass comb which sits up a little proud of the body plates on either side. I have found this very uncomfortable even though they are milled and rounded, after a night's hard playing I found my lips blistered and raw.
So the Seydel scores highly for me on that point alone.
Another very nice feature is the way the ends of the harp are mounded and rounded which makes them very comfortable to hold unlike the Honer harp which has sharp corners at each end. One of the first jobs I have always done when I bought a new Honer was to file the corners so with a Seydel I don't need to do that.
Eventually all the harps in my case are going to be replaced by Seydel because I rate them very highly and would recommend that you get one and try it if you haven't already done so.

so, i bought this harp for the use at campfires and little sessions at partys or birthdays. i'm an absolute beginner for this instrument and thought i cant do anything wrong for this price. i was not disapointed
the quality is very excellent! full metal case in a pretty chrome finish. i had many harps in my hands before i bought this one and thats the prettiest feeling. not to heavy and not to light.
the sound is very good too! its éxactly that what i want. a full blues tone in the style of dylan and young and and and. it really matches with my folk guitar and brings the original country feeling
