Poorly finished, imperfections and splits in wood

Come to play test the bucket mute, the finish/quality control is extremely poor. There are imperfections in the wood finish where the rod goes through the bottom of the mute. The annoying part is that there is an obvious split in the wood veneer where it has been stretched and overlapped on the side, there is excessive glue. I don’t think “Care for winds” is an appropriate name, more like “Lack of care for winds”!
