I've been using BOSS multifx pedalboards for years, avid fan of their producs.
Last year I decided to switch to single pedals and make my own board. So I went and purchased this PSU among other units with my "music stuff" savings.
I thought: "this must the very best, look at that price tag, it'll work with whatever I'll throw at it".
Big mistake. Given my plug-and-play background with multifx boards, I wasn't really aware of basic stuff such as "how many milliamps does this pedal take? 9v or 12v dc?" etc. My bad.
Pros:
Super quality. No question about it.
As silent as they come.
Has AC outlets. I'll never ever use those, however.
Cons:
This is borderlines useless with newer, more demanding pedals.
You'll quickly run out of power to distribute to your pedals.
They lock you into their custom cable types.
They did not include a courtesy outlet to chain another unit. Their workaround is to use one of the AC outlets, but it'll require a separate unit of theirs and the milliamps you gain aren't simply worth the price.
I've tried to sell this unit for over a year now. Words to the wise.
