The cable itself is nice and flexible, it's a twin cable, with about 1/3 or more in the middle fused to each other. Two plastic clips keep the two individual cables together on each side, and can be moved as desired. There's also a small double-sided velcro strip for organizing the cable (not really needed for such a short length, but nice to have anyway).
The gold-plated plugs are made of metal and are equipped with strain relievers. The plug bodies can be unscrewed and slipped down the cable, so it is possible to inspect the factory soldering (which was done well on my cables), and also to shorten or repair the cable if needed (soldering experience required).
I like the short length of this cable, units located next to each other can be connected in a neat way.
