I bought white cable to make a set of adaptors (XLR to jack, etc) that are easily spotted against the usual black, it also makes it harder for others to "borrow" my things.
The cable itself is pretty good and feels of a pleasant quality, although the outer insulation is rather thick, making it heavier and larger than the standard Van Damme. I don't mind for my purposes but it would be a problem if I was making a stock of 10/20m mic cables.
Inside there are two signal cables in red and blue, shield and some string. I would rather have additional foil shielding than string.
I have not measured the cables response against Van Damme but having used them for a while I haven't noticed any problems.
