I put these on my Jazz fretless and they allowed for a more sparkling sound than flatwounds without compromising too much the smooth playability. I am planning on trying thm soon with my fretted bass to see how they work.

If you want strings with a punchy sound but don't like the feel of fully-wound steels, these might be for you.

I used them on my Warwick Streamer, playing funk/rock, and they're great.
