I had been hunting around for a cab that could handle intimate gigs, small venue, up to large pub / auditorium size. One that had the versatility to produce tone, clarity and volume without losing any of the quality when played in either location.

I and my band mates had been lugging around a 15 inch aluminium cone cab for a number of years and to be perfectly frank hated shifting the behemoth of a cab, weighing similar to Thors hammer in the hands of the unjust, and with the tone subtlety of an elephant breaking wind.
They were all mightily impressed with the sub 20kg weight of the DG212N - I am extremely broken form years of abusing my body playing silly sports, yet I could carry this Cab in one hand. It does have a nice pair of handles on either side but as demo to the band of how light this was a little showing off was needed.

The grey weave, carbon fibre effect covering makes it stand out as something a bit different and although not massively different in dimension to my previous cab it looks and feels smaller..

That is until the 4ohm, 1000w is ramped up. You can feel a growl coming out of it when in the higher volumes - I am running either a Hartke TX600 or a Markbass Ninja through it and both are loving the flexibility of this AMP. I play a Warwick Corvette $$- so had to play with both guitar and head to get the best overall range for the cab. It sounds a little quite in higher octaves but is massive in mids and low - which is where bass should be right??!!

First gig went well, medium sized pub - think 100 people or so. And it cut through the mix, was not overpowering but also able to make sure the crowd knew there was a groove being played.

To be fair, it is quite pricey - I had looked at 2x12 Markbass and GK's etc but this one for the weight, money , tone, look etc was what I plumped for and I have not been disappointed. I had seen a B Stock one in a music store and to be honest the difference in price between that one and a brand spanker from Thomann was negligible.

Thomann, shipped to the UK free, had great correspondence and the item turn up in less than a week - exactly as described and well packaged.

All in all a joyous experience - well done.
