Awesome piece of kit
I was a bit undecided whether to get the B7K or Alpha Omega and can say I am not disappointed in choosing this version.
The lower price was what swayed me in the end as it is quite a significant investment but the quality seems absolutely spot on.
The pedal also works well as a practice rig when used with headphones/iem's and aux in. The only down side is you will need a power adapter as the unit doesn't run on batteries. Darkglass state that this is for "ecological" reasons but for hotel room practice when travelling, batteries would be my preferred power solution.
The eq section of the pedal is extremely powerful, there's enough gain on tap for most players and the blend function is really useful to keep the low b from disappearing. I do like that you can use it as a preamp and make use of the eq and turn distortion on/off independently whereas the non-ultra version its the whole pedal on or off.
