I bought two of these to use on a mesh head kit and they're great. I also have Roland triggers that were significantly more expensive and these perform at the same level. I would prefer that the mounting holes were set a tiny bit further back than they are though. The triggers themselves are pretty easy to setup both physically and in my digital kit's 'brain'. The only thing that might be worth mentioning as a caution is that these triggers seem to work better on smaller diameter mesh heads. I'm currently using these on 10" and 12" toms. The 10" tom worked pretty much from the get-go and required very little tweaking, whereas the 12" tom did require more work to get a good, clean signal.
However, for less than £20 each, I'm very happy with them!

These are great if like me you use mesh heads to trigger samples in my practice room, but they do deaden the sound of real heads in a live environment, this could actually be a benefit if your toms are naturally quite ringing, save on rings or gel pads to go on them.
For me it makes my toms sound a little bit too dull, so I just mic up the toms in a live environment.
They work very well with Alesis trigger box to trigger samples from a laptop
