The best neck humbucker I've had.
Alexei Prudivus 10.03.2019
First of all, this pickup is amazing :)

It has a clear, "glassy" clean sound.
Individual note definition with distortion is very good.

Output is not very high, so pinch harmonics are quite hard to play with this pickup though, but they are doable.

Would recommend with Crunch Lab/D Activator in the bridge.

Clear and Warm
Pavels R. 13.01.2014
I don't use a neck pickup very often, but to me the sound of whole guitar should be the best as possible. I choose the product because a tons of good reviews and rates and it was a goal. It sounds very clean and watery, never gets muddy. To me, it sound very close to single pickup, but with very warm and sweet overtones. I use it in my basswood guitar for metal home record project and it's the best choice for every guitarist who cares for the sound and it's fit in the whole mix. The pickup is extremely versatile, best for rock, brilliant for metal, ideal for jazz.

Great sound!

I installed this pickup in my Ibanez RG927QMZ, and it sounds amazing!
Great tone for cleans and since it's a low output pickup, it doesn't get crunchy. With distortion, I use it mainly for solos, and I love the tone.

AN
Very musical
Alexey N. 10.08.2016
This is awesome sounding pickup. Works very well in alder body + maple/walnut neck guitar. Any chord sounds increadibly clear in terms of individual string voicing, and your guitar will sing very musically when playing single notes. This is true for both clean and overdriven amp settings, it won't loose articulation even with a lot of distortion. This pickup has a very focused sound in the low frequencies, so it's not muddy at all even on downtuned sevenstring. Materials used in this pickup are also very high quality.

I highly recommend this pickup to anyone who wants to breathe some life into a guitar, I'm sure you'll love it!

There's a reason why John Petrucci puts is name on it!
Thomas855 16.02.2014
The reason why i bought this pickup is because I wanted to replace the Stock pickups on my Ibanez RG 1527... they didn't sound good at all. So I bought the DiMarzio Crunchlab and Liquifire and it changed the whole sound of the guitar. Even though it's a pretty high output pickup, the cleans you can get out of it are amazing, especially when you split the coils. Also when you play high gain Leads, the sound is smooth and still agressive without being shrill. I can highly recommend to try it out!

A must for all Petucci fans
jarekad 05.03.2018
I've installed a set of JP's signature pickups in my budget Sterling JP70, that came with stock pickups to match the pickups in my other "grown up" Music Man JP guitar. Best decision ever.
