It is important to note this model is designed as an exponential VCA and made to amplify Audio signals. if you want to amplify / modulate control signals (CV) then the A-130 is better fit. not it will not work at all if you get the wrong model, it is that just each will be more practical to use in its own purpose !
This VCA features two separated CV inputs, the second one having its own reducer.
it also offers two individual audio inputs, each of them being fitter with an attenuator
you cannot see it as two independant VCAs tought but it definitely offers more than just one simple VCA, which is nice considering it entry level price point !
in terms of sound quality not much to say there. pretty good.

Good, but I prefer the A-132-3

Good quality but for just a bit more money you can get the A-132-3 and have two independently routable VCAs in one. The trade-off is one less CV input for each VCA which I find not necessary anyway. With the A-132-3 you can route two completely independent signals and have each processed by its own VCA whereas on this one the two signals get routed into the same VCA. Skip this one and go for the 132-3.

Excellent straight forward VCA

If you are looking for a basic dual input VCA then this module is for you. This module will fit in perfectly with my already growing -mainly- Doepfer Eurorack.
I would recommend this module for anyone starting a Eurorack because it's (a) priced very reasonably (b) you get a good understanding of signal flow, which, is a good thing to have when looking for possibly more exotic/pricey modules in future - and (c) the quality is outstanding as both the input jacks and potentiometers won't wear out anytime soon (going by some of the other Doepfer modules I have).
Last but not least; delivery to the UK only took 4 working days - good stuff all round!
