A
Multi-functional tool for audio and cv
Anonymous 30.03.2015
I've been putting this module to quite some uses, ranging from normal audio-destruction to CV-arpeggiators.

For audio, the 16 different algorithms create very different tonal colorations, which can be very well used to fatten up your sound when (filtered and) mixed with the original signal.

Used with LFO's it can create interesting patterns which change dynamically by controlling the cv inputs.

Put a noise through this module and control the cv inputs with A/D envelopes to quickly create hard snares, hihats and crashes (pairs good with the wiard noisering) and end off with a clamping vca.

Combine this module in mode 10/11 with a sample&hold and the A-183 offset generator in a feedback routing to make an continuously changing pattern. Add a voltage controlled switch in the feedback path for adding a reset/start-position option.

This bit modifier is cool module. It has 16 functions which effect the signal with cv control over it. I like bit crushing LFO's with it making them steppy waves. Plus it works nice on audio signals. I would recommend it if your looking for bit crusher then this will do the job. small hp helps for those smaller cases.

Endless bitcrushing and sample rate manipulation fun
Anonymous 18.12.2015
The amount of control that Dieter gave us over the bitcrushing and sample rate reduction in this module is astonishing, and all of the algorithms are usable in different situations. My only complaint is that I'd have liked CV control over the algorithm, but I suspect that would sound awful.

Having attenuated CV control over sample rate and bit depth provides endless possibilities for using the lo-fi effects dynamically, especially (ex.) in response to envelope followers, or if you're feeling adventurous, the output of the A-196 PLL...

Impressive little module for bit reduction type effects

This was well worth buying. It really added alot to the type of sound I was looking for. It has a nice range of effect selections to control how it handles the incoming audio.
