I already have a les trem II and very happy with it. However, this one randomly gives slight mechanical noise from one end of the spring when operated. I have sprayed a little lube on both ends and it seems to be staying good for now. This is much smoother and more comfortable than the Bigsby alternative ( which I have owned before on a Gretsch Pro Jet) so I'm hoping that it stays quiet! Is a little too expensive though, as is (ad more so) a Bigsby, both licensed and genuine!
If you put this on a tele be aware it makes access to the bridge saddles difficult. I drilled out the bridge and slotted to allow the strings to line up at a much reduced angle than the original surface bridge. I installed the trem as far from the bridge as possible. Only works on 3 saddle bridge.
