Perfect Compromise

Thicker picks slip your grip when you strum quickly? Thinner picks sloppy when you play leads? These picks are the answer. A middle thickness pick with a fantastic grip. I favoured heavier picks when I first started playing, but as I got strumming more quickly I saw the benefit of using lighter picks, but missed the harder attack moving for leads. These picks are a very nice balance between a thinner pick that has some give for strumming and a thicker pick that gives confidence to picking single notes. I think a thicker pick might still sound out some notes better, but these Dunlops are great all rounders.

Top picks and are the standard

The latest design with the grip pimples are great so you may not drop them as often as smooth ones. The nylon has its own sound compared to other styles of pick and to me these give the best balance. I use the .88 or1 for the electric and a .73 on Acoustic.

Pick of choice

These are the picks I found after a few years of playing and have not found anything I prefer.
There is quite a lot of "give" in the pick for quite a thick pick size.

My favourite thing about these is that they will out last you.
They do not wear down very fast are easy in the hand.
And for the price ... Amazing!

Picks can be quite an individual and personal preference, but, if you are looking for a new type of pick (for electric or acoustic guitar) this could be worth a try.

Keep on rocking & Thanks Thomann!

Dunlop Nylon Max Grip 0.88
Anonymous 15.12.2016
Dunlop Nylon 0.88 are my main pick for electric guitar, strung with .009 gauge.
Decided to give the Max Grip version a try. They are the usual high quality Dunlop but feel different from my regular 0.88 in two regards; 1. the grip obviously but it is a grip more suited to strumming, I feel , as the grip itself is on the back three quarters of the pick. For me, at least, when fast picking, I tend to hold the pick closer to the front, negating the usefulness of the grip on this pick (these Max Grip, in a .73 for acoustic strumming would be perfect).
2. because of the extra nylon used for the grip, these picks feel heavier than a normal Dunlop .88, so be advised.

Nothing to improve except... the color
AdrianoGominho 24.01.2023
I have been using this exact model for some years. Excellent grip and the right amount of stiffness for me. The only thing that could be improved is the color: a brighter color would help me to pick up the picks scattered all over the place after rehearsals.

Great picks!
TrEr 10.01.2020
I'm a bass player that plays 90% fingerstyle and 10% pick. I normally use the yellow 0,73 Tortex but somtimes I need picks with a slightly different feel. I find that these nylon picks give me more of an old school 60s vibe to the attack. They sound a bit bouncier and less clanky than the Tortex, expecially when palm muting. I tried the 0,73 nylons but they are far more flexible than the 0,73 tortex. I needed something slightly stiffer for bass. These 0,88s works great for me.

They do seem to wear out a bit faster than the Tortex though. But I'm a bass player. They will obviously last a lot longer with guitar.

Best solution for greasy hands
zdrawko 04.04.2023
I've tried a lot of picks and these ones are the ones I've used the most, the grip surface is comfortable and overall the 0.88 thickness is perfect for my play style. I do a lot of aggressive picking, so they do not last long for me, but that's not the issue for me.

My go-to plectrum
Gretschman76 28.07.2021
Have been using them for years. I use these for electric, and the black 1mm ones for acoustic (gypsy jazz). Sound is great for me and on top of that, they last very long, very durable.
