Most solid picks I've ever used.
Battebatmand 23.02.2022
I used to use some cheap, beginner signature picks, but as soon as I started playing more heavy music, I found the need for a thicker, more sturdy pick, and I found that these worked perfectly. I've yet to break one, and they're difficult to lose, given their big size.

JK
Jazz III XL Stiffo
James K. 12.06.2013
I bought these on a whim along with the Jazz III XL Reds to try them out, as they are not usually my pick of choice. When I tried them it became apparent that they do not wear as quickly as other delrin/tortex picks and they have a slightly clearer attack. They have good grip thanks to the imprinted logos and I find they have a smooth release over the strings, I usually use these now for playing bass but found them great for playing guitar too and they are fantastic for pinched harmonics on the guitar. My only problems with these picks is the way they are rated by dunlop as either "Red" or "Stiffo" with no particular size specified, however the Stiffo picks seem slightly thicker and heavier and produce a slightly more warm/overdriven/muddy sound when you dig into the strings which can sound attractive.

Found a goldmine with these
Young giger 19.02.2024
I used to use really thin picks, cause i thought they improved my speed and i was at first very reticent at trying newer and thicker picks. I was persuaded by fellow electric guitar players just to try. So i settled on this pack… a few days go by and they come in the mail!
It took a few days to get used to them and adapt my playing stile to thicker picks. And these were suitable for absolutely every genere i played. Wether it was a blues gig or a worship or CCM one
Let’s be a little more practical!
QUALITY:
They are not rough around the edges like most picks in this price range, not pointy and no plastic sticking out and that is fantastic
GRIP:
I only gave the grip 4 stars because i have had picks with better grip, custom rubber and all of that glitter, but its still great. You cant drop them unless you try and sweet isnt really a problem as your grip remains the same
Great picks! The price is great and you get plenty of them, so if youre looking for something versatile, this might be your jam

Favorite plectrum
UncleVarg 02.05.2017
I have used the Jazz III XL for about 5 years and it is by far, my favorite plectrum. I use it for djent and metalcore, so it is quite comfortable, especially for patterns and sweeps. It is thick and durable(I actually still have a couple of 'em left from my first pack, so they do last long). There is no downside for me. They are just what I need. I prefer them over the regular Jazz III, because with these, I can really feel the playing.

Fabulous Pick
repo251 18.09.2018
If you buy a 24 pack, you'll pay around 70 euro cents per piece! This is an unbelievable price when you think about it.

I bevel these and they sound just as good as a gravity gold on a nylon and taylor 314 and fly thru the strings.

i think they're better than the red as they're stiffer, and the ultrex in this line don't bevel well and sounds woolly.

These are the best JD picks around and i've been thru most, and a lt of the niche high end picks.

i beveled 5 last night and they all play so quick. i recommend these as price/quality ratio is unbeatable and they project on an acoustic even at high speed (tho if you bevel one side it'll cut thru more)

in addition, thomann's delivery of these picks, a pickup and other strings was remarkably fast to Budapest! brilliant service!

A firm pick, good response & it lasts a long time.
Might be a bit pricey compared to others, but worth it to me.

The bigger brother
Anonymous 14.08.2015
I've always been a huge fan of Jazz III picks, and as soon as I found out a bigger version is available, I ordered some out of curiosity and now I'm pretty happy with them, I still prefer the smaller version but if you have big hands or just prefer bigger picks go with these. The edge beveling and the ponty tip are just the same as the original ones, the material is the same and, despite it sounding pretty dull compared to other picks, it gives a nice attack to the notes. I suggest you not to use these on acoustic guitars because it kills the brightness and adds a really odd low-mid thump.
