The best picks around
Johannes467 11.08.2015
In my opinion, these are the best picks around. You have very good control over your picking technique - it's like if the instrument was "closer" to you than with other picks. Using them is a quite direct way of playing the guitar. They are especially good for lead guitar and funky rhythm with strong strokes but I use them for any playing style or genre. The resulting sound is quite brilliant; for parts that need a more soft and dull sound I just use my fingers.

The picks last quite a while. I buy a new pack of 12 maximum every six months. That also means that they're relatively cheap. But keep in mind that they don't stay as sharp over time. The picks get a little rounder but can be resharpened through cutting it.

The only real thing Dunlop could have done better is the grip. When being new, they have a slight grip (not comparable to these Ibanez sand paper picks I used before). But this slight grip wears off relatively fast so the picks tend to slip through sweaty fingers. My solution is carving chaotic patterns in both sides of the picks with a sharp tool. This enhances grip quite reliably.

If you never tried these picks - do it! :)

Great choice! Dunlop Tortex Sharp 0.73 mm plectrums are reliable and high quality accessories for guitarists looking for the perfect combination of comfort, control and durability. That's why they have become a popular choice among many musicians:

Durable and long-lasting: Made from durable Tortex material, these plectrums provide long life and resistance to wear and tear. This allows you to use them for long periods of time without having to replace them frequently.

Excellent Control: The sharp tip allows you to attack the strings with precision and clarity, providing a clear sound and high articulation. This is especially useful for playing at speed or in technical passages.

Comfort and Convenience: The plectrums have a comfortable shape and surface that allows them to rest securely in the fingers. This provides a comfortable and natural feel while playing.

Variety of thicknesses: Available in a variety of thicknesses allows guitarists to choose the plectrums that suit their individual preferences and playing style.

Good grip on the strings: The Tortex material provides excellent grip on the strings, which allows you to control the sound and dynamics, and prevents slipping while playing.

Overall, the Dunlop Tortex Sharp 0.73 mm plectrums are a great choice for guitarists who value high quality, comfort and control while playing. Their reliability and versatility make them suitable for a wide range of musical styles and genres.

Almost perfect

I wish they made them thinner, but apart from that these are very good picks. The sharper point has helped with picking accuracy massively

The best pick I've ever tried
Sergiii 18.06.2020
The best pick I've ever tried - crisp sound, it makes playing faster and longer much easier - it helps developing precise and fast picking technique.

I've had almost all models and materials of Jim Dunlop picks and other brands too. I thought that secret was to go for thicker and thicker picks - I ended up playing 3mm and 5mm picks, but was never satisfied.

I use it to play fast metal on 6, 7, 8-string guitar and 5-string bass.

Eventually the tip will lose the sharpness, but it's worth it

For those who like thick plectrums is a must buy!
You can put as many power you want without the danger of break the plectrum.

The grip also is very nice, even with sweaty hands you hold it very nice.No worries about fall off your fingers.

The tip is perfect for fast picking,it is very thin!
I like the style of it very much!

Pros:

-Fast picking
-Nice tip
-Good grip
-Price
