Dunlop Tortex III Riffle 1.14 Pack

Picks are extremely subjective components within a guitarist's rig.
But for sure there are somethings that you hopefully want in a pick, and if these things are matching with my needs, then probably you'll love these picks too.
What i do want in a pick, is enough grip but not too much that will compromise your freedom and comfort in moving your pick in between your fingers, I like pick big enough to allow most of the side of my thumb and the index finger to have a good grip and surface to lean on, long enough to pick the string without my fingers touching the strings and I especially want a pick that does not die after half song!
Even though I play fairly hard, they are very long lasting pick, extremely comfortable for my needs and they are solid enough to give a super tight attack when I pick WITHOUT bending!
Perfect picks for electric guitar, but personally I love them on acoustic too.
I wouldn't use only in the case I'd want to play a soft strummed acoustic set.

These picks are very good for anyone who wants a pointy pick for fast/effortless playing, but who's not a fan of smaller picks like the Jazz III "teardrop" picks.

While picks are very subjective, I've found these work really well for many of the genres I play. The pointy pick end allows you to really dig in and get heavier rhytm sounds for rock and metal, while allowing you to make quick lead line and arpeggios as you go.

The point does tend to go dull after a while, more quickly than a rounded tip. It's common with pointier picks, and also depends on your picking style.

The coating doesn't seem to fade as quickly as other picks, which is good news for a longer-term grip.

Also the purple makes them harder to lose, which I consider a great feature :)

I am a metal rhythm guitarist, so when I pick I need something solid with good grip; these picks are just that.
They are very pointy, which makes it easier for me to use alternate picking(I use 10-52 strings), and makes for more precise picking in general.
For me the only problem is that they do eventually wear out (like all picks obviously), but I usually just use a small file to get the pack to their pointy glory, as I don't want to keep buying picks. Due to their solidity, this technique can work for quite some time.
These are the only picks I really use (except for bass where I use 2mm dunlop gator, also recommended), and I strongly recommend these picks to the guitarist with a rough and hard play style, who also wants precision.
