Heavier than a death in the family

As a long time fan of Boris and Wata I jumped on this the second I learned of its existance and I am not disapointed. It's a big muff on steroids, capable of unleashing a wall of noise with no support whatsoever, and the controls are good enough that it's not restricted only to big doom chords. You can get into some nasty ear splitting soloing too.
Build wise this is basically a metal brick and the knobs feel sturdy and responsive. The killer artwork also doesn't hurt.
All in all, this thing plain rules.

What's not to love? Lovely crushing tones of destruction.

歪 (hizumi) means distorted, for those of you wondering about the name.

That's the only thing I can say about it that I didn't immediately come up when googling it. Youtube will tell you what it sounds like. It's obviously well built.

I play it through a Koch Jupiter 45W amp, single coil overwound Mustang. I love it, it's the best sounding pedal I have if you're into these things.

Synth leads from hell!
BitiliBlack 11.05.2023
I got it for my dawless synth setup, to use on my saw leads, for that "wall-of-death-sound". Chained it up with delay before and reverb after... The grin on my face when I turned it on :) ... Just pure joy!

The sustain you get with that fuzzy distortion sounds just phenomenal on synths!

Apart from synth leads, I hooked it up on bass machines, drum machines... it just sounds great on everything for me. This pedal is my new main distortion and will definitively be used a lot!

Poor quality control
martyanov 29.01.2024
Got mine with broken potentiometer, scretches and surface defects. My first and last pedal from EQD as production quality is unacceptable for the price despite the sound. Also, doesn't come with rubber feets, cost 10 cents.
