A great all around reverb
Shejv 16.08.2019
I bought this pedal after reading a lot of about it online and hearing that it's the best new thing, and honestly, it didn't disappoint.
It is my first standalone reverb so obviously I can't say it sounds better or worse than some other offerings, but it offers so much at this price point.
The plate and room reverbs sound great, and are what I mostly use. The secondary controls stay the same when set so you can set those ahead of time and just change the dial when you need a different setup (as well as the level, time and tone which can be easily adjusted). Here, though, is where you realize the drawback. If you want multiple types of reverb in one song, it can be a bit impractical to have to crouch down and change the mode via the selector, even more so if you have to change secondary parameters.
Thankfully, for some options which have heavily customizable parameters there are a few modes which all store their settings, so you can cycle between them if you need "hand presets" on the fly.
Shimmer verb also sounds great, can be a bit overpowering but it's all in the way you use it. Dyna modes are great for auto-swelling and some other niche uses. Echo is nice to stack with another delay. Poly is also really interesting but I think it's a "set up and use maybe once per set" type of thing. Mod stuff is also nice as an option for people who aren't huge fans of modulation (such as myself).
The auto infinite mode as well as the "hold for infinite reverb" switch is really great, I can totally see myself using it in a live context for some textures or song transitions. Great inclusion.
I'm mostly using it in a home studio setting currently, so I'm pretty blown away by the quality of the sound and the features.
However, I am concerned that if/when I start gigging, the usability will pose a bit of a problem. A secondary footswitch for a "favorite" setting like the Harley Benton D-Seed delay would be amazing. I do believe the best option will be to set up a few most used sounds and just switch between them on song breaks.
Overall, very impressed with this package, and blown away that you get so much for not that much money (compared to some other reverbs). It's probably my favorite pedal currently for inspiration and jamming. If you're looking for an all around great sounding reverb and can forgive it's awkward usability, I would definitely recommend trying it out.

K
Just awesome.
KeeSeeK 15.08.2019
I've received this pedal from the good guys at Thomann in January 2019, and in a short summary it's a great reverb pedal.

I use this pedal as my single reverb pedal in my pedalboard in conjunction with some other pedals, mostly at home, but occasionally at small to mid-sized gigs. Handles both well.

Pros:
- Variety of different sounds (you can bet it's more than 11).
- The sounds themselves are spot-on.
- The infinite reverb you get by holding down the footswtich - it's true to its word.
- Simple to use.
- Robust enclosure.

Cons:
- It is power supply sensitive. After a few months of use, I noticed that the PS that came with the pedal limited the pedal from making adjustments to the sounds, as well as the infinite reverb feature just not working.
- The handling without the manual is at times overwhelming.
- No stereo (not an issue for some, but I don't find it as much of a con).

Overall a well priced pedal, you'll definitely enjoy this pedal, it being your 1st or 100th reverb pedal.

Just plain awesome.
Philliewillie 28.06.2022
So many options, bought it mainly for the dripping spring-verb. Ever since i bought it, it replaced my holy grail as main reverb pedal. I really like the tap-tempo for some reverbs and the chance to 'mod' some. It's just the swiss army knife of reverb pedals. Mainly intended for indie-artist but it's kinda just a jack of all trades. Crazy price range.

Pros :
-Dripping spring reverb that sounds qualitative.
-Plate sounds great.
-Reverse reverb for the shoegazers.
-tap-tempo and mod options.
-all reverbs sound atleast decent.
-Price. (Even after inflation)

Cons :
-Might be to much pedal for some.

I had several reverb pedals and racks, but none of them was comparable to this one. It is just fantastic.

Poseidon's favourite pedal
Bartleby The Scrivener 08.03.2024
I knew I wanted a shimmer reverb and I had this pedal in mind for a long time because I kind of adore EHX. I had no idea what I was buying.

I spent three hours going through the manual exploring all the different permutations this pedal is capable of, and thankfully no one interrupted me because I probably would have killed them for doing so.

The eleven reverb types of this model are only the base from which to set sail to new lands. Once you understand how to change parameters, and it makes sense really quickly, this pedal opens up into a studio rack unit.

And thanks to Thomann for the ease of ordering and delivery. Thomann are awesome.

It's a good reverb with a lot of features. Small complaint for the power usage, I can't use this with my power supply because it needs more than 9V

Wonderful spring reverb simulation
Žarko 03.09.2022
But - there is a slight hiss/hum present when the pedal is in the loop, even if it's off, no matter what power supply is used. I use it only in "spring" mode and the hiss can be removed by turning off the pedal, then changing the reverb mode with the knob (yes, even though it's off) and putting it, say, back on reverb, while the pedal is still off.

Doing this "really" turns it off and removes the hiss.

Very good thing
AJ Sass 27.03.2023
Thank you Thomann, it was real pleasure to deal with you again. Oceans 11 is arguably one of the best reverbs around. May be it is too prefetched for some but it has a top-noch "plate" mode and it is very good pedal indeed.
