Adjustable brightness and intensity, fittings are solid, come with variety of plugs, very happy with it overall. Doesn’t come with a tripod, it has a mount that clamps to table, but that’s exactly what I wanted.

Gute Lichtqualität, weniger gute Verarbeitung

Das Elgato Ring Light ist für alle praktisch, die eine kompakte Lichtquelle suchen. Die LEDs machen gutes Licht (Warm und Kalt) und der Ring ist schön groß, was hilft, da man ja häufig in die Linse der Kamera schauen will. Dabei wären zu helle spots eher störend.

Das Tischstativ klemmt man an den Tisch, dabei sollte die Platte nicht dicker als 6 cm sein. Das Problem an dieser Methode ist nur, dass dabei der Tisch keinesfalls wackeln darf. Sonst fängt die ganze Konstruktion an zu schwingen, was das Bild der Kamera unbrauchbar macht.

Weiterhin ist die Verbindung zwischen Tischstativ und Ringlicht nur dürftig zusammengeklebt. Einmal das Ringlicht bewegt, ohne die Halterung komplett lose geschraubt zu haben, und man hat das Licht in der Hand. Danach wackelt die ganze Sache einfach nur noch.

Das Tischstativ habe ich für ein kleines Licht im Hintergrund verwendet und das Ringlicht auf ein richtiges Stativ geschraubt. Zum Glück sind die Schrauben mit den üblichen Stativschrauben kompatibel.

Man kann das Licht zwar zur Not auch ohne Smartphone/Pc steuern, nur ist das äußerst umständlich. Die App hilft da schon sehr. Das Licht merkt sich die letzte Einstellung - möchte man also ohne Smartphone arbeiten und die Einstellungen nicht mehr ändern, dann geht das ganz gut.

Zusammenfassend bekommt man mit dem Ring Light eine gute Lichtquelle. Die Montage und Verbindung zwischen Licht und Stativ sollte aber noch mal überarbeitet werden.

Erst Top, dann Flop

Super Licht, Einrichtung mega einfach, aber dann...

Das im Internet hochgelobte elgato Zubehör ist spätestens bei professioneller Verwendung als unbrauchbar zu deklarieren. Die Halterung hält noch nicht mal das Licht selbst, sobald man es auch nur leicht diagonal stellt, von der Montage einer DSLR wie in verschiedene Videos im Web zu sehen ist abzuraten, habe die Kamera in letzter Sekunde vor dem Absturz gerettet.

Ein Versuch eine leichte Handykamera ranzuschrauben endete damit, dass ich ohne Krafteinwirkung die ganze Halterund in der Hand hatte, die offensichtlich nur leicht geklebt ist.

Auch der FlexArm ist für maximal ein Handy geeignet, echt Schrott und wackelig, das hält nichts. Mit Dank zurück :-(
