Bought this coated string for a custom strings gauge. Been a long time Elixir strings user. This newer formula with ultra thin coating feels and sounds even more natural and classic as far as roundwound strings tones go. Seems resistent to corrosion just like it's supposed to be.
Good thing the possibility to buy single strings for your own gauge, also with these Elixirs, which are your best bet as coated/anti rust plain strings, in my opinion.

Love the Elixir tone. Because Elixir only do 10. gauge strings for 7 string guitars I had to buy this to make a full set of 9.s. Worked a treat. Got the sound I want on my 7 string. Couldn't be happier.

Ich habe nun schon einige .052 Saiten ausprobiert. Von ganz billigen bis in zu dieser Saite. Und habe dabei Buch geführt wie lang welche Saite hält. Rissen andere Saiten schon nach ein zwei Wochen hielt diese über 2 Monate. Auch wenn ich bei dieser Saite fast das doppelte ausgeben (muss) lohnt es sich, da sie auch mindestens doppelt so lange hält wie jede andere! Und da man ja nicht andauernd die Saiten wechseln möchte ist diese Saite Gold wert! Ich bin vollstens zufrieden und wurde bisher noch nicht einmal enttäuscht!
Mehr Geld für Saiten ausgeben lohnt sich! Diese ist jeden Cent wert!
