Too expensive for me

I do not know what other people think but these Elixir are now too expensive for me. I like the sound although there are other brands at least as good but as with a lot of players I have met we buy them for their durability. I just get fed up of changing the strings on my guitars.

I cannot really do that now as I cannot justify the price. I have to wait for the 3 for 2 offers or look for other offers.
A pity really but I am sure I am not the only one to feel this way. So I have gone over to cheaper coated strings and with some success.
