Recently I bought an Epiphone Emperor Swingster, which ships without case. Ordered this case toghether with the Swingster. The Swingster has a Bigsby tremolo arm which is supposed to fit inside this case. I have a few Gibson cases to compare this Epi case with. This Epi case is good, and does protect your guitar as expected. The inside plush seems of ok quality, but not as soft as the Gibson cases. The black outside surface seems more fragile than the Gibson material. The Epi surface is smooth and feels a bit rubber-like, whereas the Gibson is much more rugged and seems to withstand more "punishment". It seems like the Epi surface may get easier scratched/ripped or damaged, but for the price I dont expect otherwise. The hinges are of ok quality, and will probably last as long as the case itself, but the locks are not as tight fit as my Gibson cases. The locks on the Epi case has to be inserted carefully to fit. All in all a good and sturdy case for your Epiphone, but dont expect too high level of quality. Be aware that the tremolo-arm is difficult to fit perfectly innside when you close the case. It works, but it is not a perfect match with the Emperor Swingster.
