Pros:
The case is able to take quite a few hits, as it is made of wood, and will protect the guitar from almost anything , short of a bullet.
The cushioning on the inside will reshape when something is pressed against it, which is ideal for the chunky pickup-switch that I added to mine.
Has a nice vinyl finish, with no visible imperfections on arrival.
The handle is cushioned, which makes the weight easier for the hand to cope with, although after carrying it for 10 minutes with a mahogany guitar inside, it will still become uncomfortable.
Cons:
The hinges are cheap and not very well-attached, so the lid wobbles left and right when not secured and will sometimes refuse to close because it has mis-alligned itself.
The lock included is a simple one. I once misplaced my key but was still able to open the case with a piece of copper wire.
The case is extremely bulky compared to most standard strat-oriented cases, and can be difficult when, for example, walking in a narrow hallway, or up a steep slope/stairs, although this problem is to be expected when one owns a firebird.
Overall this case is nothing special, but will do its designated job well.
