I bought this guitar as my main driver as I found the specifications to be on par with all the top end handmade ESP guitars, except for having a mahogany body over an alder body (which is still a very good body material). It always sounds perfectly well rounded in gritty distorted tones whilst keeping all the brightness and clarity on the neck on clean tones. Feels buttery smooth to play. One downside is the lead can take a little bit of force to push in all the way, was scared of breaking something at first, but now is not really an issue.
