This packing advice is designed to show you how to pack your return safely in order to avoid any damages to your property. Appropriate packaging is particularly important with parcel shipments, since the packages have to withstand a theoretical fall from (approximately) one meter in height. Please take the time to read these packing tips carefully. It’s worth the effort – to ensure your return arrives safely with us.
Important: Please disassemble your piano for packing.
YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS:
1.) After disassembling the console please tape all movable parts (keyboard cover, note stand) with residue-free temporary adhesive (eg. masking tape).
2.1) Place a carton on the ground, lay some bubble wrap on it and place the console in the middle of the carton.
2.2) Wrap this generously with bubble wrap and fix it with packing tape.
3.1) Use edge protection. If you do not have any prefabricated padding, you can easily form protection out of a piece of cardboard.
3.2) Apply the edge protection to the console and fix it with tape.
4.1) Fold the sides of the carton from bottom to top.
4.2) Put another carton on top and fold the sides top down. Fix everything with tape.
5.1) Cut carefully into the excess carton in order not to damage the instrument.
5.2) Fold a stable edge on all sides and fix with packing tape.
6.1) Wedge all empty spaces with packing material and fold the long sides upwards in order to close the parcel.
6.2) Seal the parcel with tape and be sure to apply tape along all the open seams of the parcel. The better and firmer the parcel is packed, the better your instrument is protected.
