Customs and import charges for non EU countries

For deliveries from Germany to countries outside the European Union, such as US and Canada, customs or import charges are to be paid upon arrival of the shipment in the country of destination.

This is over and above the standard import duties. Charges for customs clearance (and its handling, e.g. by a forwarding agency) have to be paid for by the customer. We do not have any influence on these charges and cannot predict the amount. The customs regulations vary significantly from country to country.

If you would like more information about this please contact your local customs office. Please note that you, as an importer, have to adhere to the regulations of the country in question.

Within our normal 30 days money back warranty from abroad, the return shipping costs are covered by Thomann. For returns, simply request a return on your customer log in centre (Return Product) or you can send an email to kundenservice@thomann.de. You will then be able to print the return slip yourself and send it to our designated Swiss address for returns.

All our prices quoted on our online store contain both VAT and customs - so you will not incur any additional costs after the purchase unless the order total exceeds 1000 NZD, in this case we have to take off the VAT again and the New Zealand customs authorities might charge import fees separately.

Special Rules for Singaporean Customers

All our prices quoted on our online store are excluding the local VAT rate – so you might have to pay the local VAT rate, and customs and clearance fees to the Singaporean customs authorities, unless your order total is below 400 SGD. If your order total is below this amount, we add the local VAT rate and you will receive your new order total including VAT with your order confirmation email. In this case the Singaporean customs authorities might also charge customs and clearance fees separately.
